Gratitude Mapping and The Law of Attraction
I have been on a manifestation high lately and I am loving it! If you haven’t read my post about manifesting your dream life, I recommend you take a look after reading this. As conscious beings, we have the ability to create whatever life we want for ourselves. It all starts with us, our energy and our vibe affect the world around us. Adopting an attitude of gratitude may help us out in life in more ways than we think. Gratitude and the Brain Science has shown, that people who hold more gratitude tend to work through stress easier, are able to release toxic emotions quicker, and can build stronger connections with others…

The Art of Manifestation: 5 Steps Towards Manifesting Your Dreams
If you follow me on social media then you know I’ve been on a manifestation kick lately and I’m not mad about it! The power of manifestation is strong when approached correctly and everyone has the ability to tap into this power. Manifestation is the idea that our thoughts become our reality and if we consciously choose to map out what we want from life, we have the ability to create it. People manifest all sorts of things; new jobs, new home, more money, love, health etc. The power of manifestation is only as limited as you make it! Don’t get me wrong though, the process of manifestation can be challenging. It requires…

My Experience Working For Lululemon And Why I Quit
photo taken in partnership with Lululemon Honolulu I started working at lululemon when Kyle and I first moved to O’ahu. I wanted to take a break from teaching yoga full-time, but I also wanted to stay active in the yoga community. Honestly, I didn’t know much about Lululemon as a company before I worked there. While I knew customer service was a high priority, working at Lulu seemed like any other retail job. I wasn’t sure I’d last there very long. It had been a few years since I worked in a group setting and I wasn’t really excited to be working in retail. Still, I knew that if I wanted to make…

Why I Started Drinking Hydrogen Rich Alkaline Water
Alkaline water is water that has been altered to have a PH of 9.5 to match the body’s ideal PH. Factors such as diet, illness, excessive exercise and environment can all alter our bodies’ natural PH creating a more acidic house for our organs and tissues. When our body is in a highly acidic state, we are more susceptible to illness and complications such as heartburn, chronic fatigue, and inflammation. if we are in an acidic state for prolonged periods of time, we can develop even more serious illnesses. While our body will naturally do its job in trying to balance out an abundance of acidity, the belief behind drinking alkaline water is…

Dear Sis: A Poem For All the Strong, Passionate Women Out There
I posted this saucy pic and poem on my Instagram the other day and got such an overwhelming response. That’s why I wanted to share it here, and speak a little bit more about what inspired me to write this piece. First off, let me just say THANK YOU!! Thank you to those who liked, commented, sent me DM’s, and spoke to me in person. I took this pic a few weeks ago and debated for the longest time about posting it. There’s nothing wrong with feeling beautiful and sexy, but I had no idea what the caption should be. The poem came a little later when I was reminiscing about friendships and…

Aligning Your Business With Your Personal Truth
Today I am celebrating my first big no, and I feel so good! Let me explain… Like many, I am a huge people pleaser. I say yes to everything because I am afraid of disappointing people and also afraid of missing out. Lately, I’ve been challenging myself to say no to obligations that don’t align with my personal truth. Even if those obligations can make me money, or build my business. I don’t want to sell myself out and I certainly don’t want to wear myself out with optional obligations that don’t serve me. Now, I’m not just talking about saying no to picking up an extra shift. Or saying no to subbing a…

Digital Detox And The Art Of Living in Possibility
Hello everyone! It’s been a little while since I’ve graced the pages of my own blog. I didn’t intend on leaving my site alone for this long, but it was nice to have a little break from the virtual world. It was like an unintended social media detox and a much-needed one at that. I am back, however, and more inspired than ever to continue sharing my journey here. So let’s catch up! First off, I want to emphasize the “unintended” portion of my blogging gap. Since I’ve slowed down and prioritized my blog so much these past few months, I never wanted to lose momentum. However, there were (and still are) some…

How we Moved to Hawaii With Little to no Money and no Plans
Since moving to the island of Oahu Hawaii, I have had so many questions from friends, family, and followers about how exactly we did it. How did we decide to move to Oahu, how did we find jobs and how did we create a life we love. I’ve decided to answer some of the most common questions I get asked about how we moved to Hawaii and have managed to survive here for over a year. Why Hawaii? Yes ya’ll, this is a serious question I get from people and my honest answer is always, “why not?” But on a more realistic note, Hawaii has always been a destination on my list. I have…

How I Started My Yoga Practice
When I first came to my mat I was at a low, I had suffered from depression, a lack of self-love and poor body image. My intention when I started yoga was to build lean muscle and strength. I started practicing at a hot yoga studio a few blocks away from my college campus. They were running a student special and practically giving away month long memberships. I couldn’t resist the offer, I paid for an unlimited monthly membership and went to class almost every single day. As dramatic as it may sound, that first month of unlimited yoga changed my life for the better! It didn’t take long for me to realize…
